WORK STUDY

Work Study positions are available for SMU students at the Performance Center normally at the beginning of each academic year.

Box Office positions:
Front of House customer service positions, including ticket sales, hosting, and house management responsibilities.

Production Crew positions:
The production crew is responsible for all of the back-stage technical aspects including lighting, rigging and sound for the following venues:

The Page Theatre (PC)
Figliulo Recital Hall (PC)
Studio Theatre (PC)
Valencia Theatre (Minnesota Conservatory of the Arts)

Our staff works closely with all departments of the School of the Arts (Theatre and Dance, Music, Art) as well as national and international touring companies being presented by the Page Series. You do not need to be a School of the Arts major to work on the production staff.

VOLUNTEERS

The Performance Center depends upon community and campus members to assist us in serving our patrons. A very popular service provided by volunteers is working as ushers before and during our events. To learn more about how you can get to see great live performances, assist your fellow community members, and meet great arts lovers, please contact Tove Wiggs, 507-457-1716 or twiggs@smumn.edu.

We are currently signing up voulnteers for the 2011-2012 season. The list below indicates dates/shows where we are still seeking volunteers for ushering and other hosting opportunities. Thank you! We really can't do this work with out your help.
